Return & Refund Policy

The Turntable Store

At The Turntable Store, we stand behind the quality of our stereo components. We offer a limited 14-day return window for most purchases, with strict conditions to ensure items remain resaleable in the high-end audio market.

Return Window & Eligibility

You may request a return or refund within 14 days of the original delivery date (or purchase date if picked up).

Eligible items must meet ALL of these conditions:

  • In full working order (fully tested and functional)
  • Not tampered with, modified, or altered in any way or form.
  • Returned in original factory-sealed packaging (for NEW and NEW OLD STOCK items only)
  • Not a Sale, Closeout, or Final Sale item (these are non-returnable)

If any condition is not met, we reserve the right to refuse the return or apply additional fees.

Return Options

  • Non-defective returns (change of mind, etc.): Refund of purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee (to cover inspection, testing, and repackaging costs common in audio equipment). Original shipping fees are not refunded.
  • Defective or damaged items: See "Damaged, Defective, or Lost in Transit" section below for full refund eligibility (no restocking fee if approved).

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection and approval.

How to Initiate a Return

  4. Provide your order number and reason for return. We'll issue an RA number (required for processing).
  5. Prepare & Ship the Item
    • Pack securely in the original packaging (double-box if possible to prevent damage).
    • Include all accessories, manuals, and tags.
    • You are responsible for return shipping costs and risks. Use a reliable, trackable carrier (e.g., UPS/FedEx) and insure the package.

  1. We are not liable for items lost or damaged during return transit.
  2. Inspection & Processing
  3. Upon receipt, we'll inspect the item within 4 to 6  business days. If it meets all conditions, we'll process your refund (minus applicable fees). You'll receive email confirmation.

Damaged, Defective, or Lost in Transit

We fully insure all shipments against loss or damage during transit. For issues upon arrival, follow this process for a full refund (no restocking fee):

Eligibility requirements (all must be met):

  • Reported within 14 days of delivery
  • Item is not in full working order or arrived damaged
  • Not tampered with, modified, or altered in any way or form.
  • Not a Sale/Closeout item
  • NEW/NEW OLD STOCK and still factory sealed (where applicable)
  • No insurance claim opened directly by the buyer (we handle this)

Required steps:

  1. Contact us immediately for Return Authorization (email/phone as above).
  2. Provide the following documentation:
    • Clear photos of the outer box and packing materials
    • Clear photos of the damaged/defective unit
    • A short video clearly showing the malfunction/issue
    • Signed Assumption of Liability form (we'll send this to you)
  1. Keep all original packaging until the claim is closed.

Once we receive everything, we will file the insurance claim on your behalf. We'll monitor the process closely and update you on any insurer requests. When the claim is resolved (typically in your favor for insured transit issues), we issue a full refund including original shipping costs.

Important Notes

  • All returns are subject to inspection. Items with cosmetic damage, missing parts, or signs of use may be refused or incur additional deductions.
  • This policy applies to online and phone/mail orders. In-store pickup may have slight variations—ask for details.
  • We encourage careful inspection upon delivery and prompt reporting of issues.
