Originally produced by Esmond Edwards. Recorded February and November 1968. p.c. 1976 Polydor Incorporated. Previously released on Verve albums V6-8749 and V6-8771 "Billie's Bounce" is previously unreleased. Blue Benson is a vinyl compilation released by Polydor eight years after Benson left Verve (subsidiary of Polydor). The one additional track, Billie's Bounce, came from the sessions for Giblet Gravy (Benson's Verve debut). Later, when Giblet Gravy was released on CD, it included Billie's Bounce, too.
