PSE Professional Studio Engineering Model Two Power Amplifier
Professional Systems Engineering Inc. - PSE Studio 2 power amplifier for sale. This is a rare and very high quality amp, made in Minnesota, USA around 1979 - 1981. It is a super dense package, fairly low profile at only about 3 1/2" tall, but it is very heavy, It is rated at 80W RMS per channel at 8 ohms but these typically delivered 100+ watts and still met all specs. The build quality is excellent with clean layout and top-quality components. It is also a true dual-mono design with two massive power transformers. It has solid oak trim panels on the sides. There are removable, and the unit can be rack mounted with the addition of some RM ears. The sound is warm, clear, and dynamic with very low distortion and not a trace of grain on the highs. It will deliver at least 140w into a 4 ohm load. It is also bridgeable to 250w+ mono if you have an 8 ohm or higher speaker. Fairly nice condition with a few scrapes here and there. The amp has a couple of tiny input level trim controls hidden between the heat sink fins, so they are front panel adjustable with a tiny flat head screw driver. Inputs are via RCA connectors. It has old school 5 way binding posts as used on lab equipment for speaker connection. They don't make them like this anymore.
